I think I have found the perfect campsite in the perfect campground in all the United States. Granted, I haven’t been to all the United States yet, but this one knocked our sock off. Everything we look for in a campground is provided at Oak Hollow Family Campground in Highpoint, North Carolina. Electric (50/30 amp), water, sewer, cable, and free wi-fi, oh my! On top of all that, the campground is located on a lake with amazing sunrise and sunset views. And for $30 per night, it’s a steal.
Cedar Creek Corps of Engineers Park.
Cedar Creek COE campground is located near Nashville, Tennessee. As is typical with COE campgrounds, Cedar Creek is exceptionally well manicured in a beautiful area of Mt. Juliet. There are 59 sites spanning a peninsula overlooking Lake Hickory. We reserved one of six waterfront sites for the weekend (due to someone’s last-minute cancellation) and spent an extra five days in one of the inner loop sites. Quick Status Update:
We lucked out with this walk-up site after evacuating this weekend from Hurricane Irene. It is definitely a worthy addition to the Camping With a View website. Update Coming Soon!
